Where Are the Photos Stored?

Photos, videos and messages are stored on secure, fully redundant infrastructure in North America, with an additional backup copy kept in a separate secure data facility in the USA. We also use local servers in regions such as Europe, Australia and India to make sharing and downloading faster.

While we take great care to protect every memory, we recommend the family downloads a copy of the gallery and keeps a backup, or more than one. The ZIP download in your host dashboard makes this simple. For long-term safekeeping, the family is responsible for storing their copy.
