How to Set Up the Memorial Slideshow for the Service

Honorpix can show photos from the memorial gallery as a slideshow on a screen at the service, reception or wake. You may also hear it called a memorial slideshow or tribute video.

How to create the slideshow

1. Log in to your host dashboard and open your gallery.
2. From the Media menu, select Create Slideshow.
3. Choose your slideshow settings and select Save.
4. From the slideshow page, select Play.

Choosing which photos appear

You can filter the slideshow, for example to show only photos you've marked as favorites, or only a particular album. If content moderation is on, you can show approved photos only. This gives the family full control over what appears on screen.

Currently the slideshow includes photos only. Guest videos stay in the gallery but aren't included in the slideshow.

Connecting to a screen

No special equipment is needed, just a laptop or tablet and a way to connect it to the screen:

• An HDMI cable, which is the most reliable option
• Google Chromecast from the Chrome browser
• Apple AirPlay or other screen mirroring

We recommend Google Chrome for the best experience.

Tips for the day

• Test the slideshow and screen connection at least 15 minutes before the service begins.
• Open the slideshow in full-screen mode for a clean display.
• Make sure the device has a steady internet connection.
• Keep an HDMI cable on hand in case a wireless connection gives trouble.
