What's the Difference Between the Gallery and an Album?

The gallery

The gallery is the main memorial space. It's the private page family and friends open when they scan your QR code or use your private link. Everything shared goes into the main gallery by default, and it's where the family manages all photos, videos and messages.

Albums

Albums are optional sections within the gallery, a bit like folders inside a main folder. Unlimited albums are included with the Medium and Large plans.

Families often use albums to gather photos from different parts of a loved one's life, for example:

  • Early Years
  • Family
  • Friends
  • Travels
  • The Service

Guests can add photos directly to an album, or the family can move photos into albums later from Manage Media in the host dashboard.

Can guests add photos straight into an album?

Yes. If you share an album's own QR code or link, guests' photos go straight into that album. They can also open a public album from the main gallery and add photos there.

If you're on the Small plan and would like albums, you can upgrade at any time from your host dashboard.
