Guests Can't Upload Photos — Troubleshooting

If someone is having trouble adding photos or videos to the memorial gallery, these are the most common causes:

  1. A weak internet connection. Photos and especially videos are large files, so a steady Wi-Fi or mobile data connection is needed. If the venue's connection is poor, there's no need to worry. People can add their photos later from home, as the gallery stays open after the service.
  2. Too many files at once. Each upload can be up to 4GB or 100 files at a time. If someone is sharing a lot of photos, sending them in smaller groups usually helps.
  3. The browser being used. Please open the gallery in a standard browser such as Chrome, Safari or Edge. Opening it from inside Facebook or Instagram, or in incognito mode, can cause problems.
  4. Photos still syncing from the cloud. If photos are stored in iCloud or Google Photos, the phone may need a few moments to download them before they can be shared. Wait for them to finish loading, then tap Add or the blue tick.

Many people find it easier to add their photos in the days after the service, once they've had time to look through them.
