Guests Are Being Asked for a PIN or Passcode

If family or friends are asked for a PIN when opening the gallery, it's usually for one of these reasons:

  • The wrong link was shared. Only the private link (shown as the "Magic Link" in your host dashboard) and the QR code open the gallery without a PIN. A link copied from your browser's address bar will ask for a passcode.
  • The gallery was opened in a private or in-app browser. Incognito mode, or opening the link from inside Facebook or Instagram, can trigger the PIN. Opening the link in a standard browser such as Chrome or Safari usually fixes this.

How to share the private link

  1. Log in to your host dashboard.
  2. Copy the Magic Link from the sharing or QR code section.
  3. Send it by text, WhatsApp or email, or add it to an online obituary.

How to find your PIN

If you'd prefer, you can share the PIN as well. It's shown in your host dashboard, under the PIN-protected link.

The PIN is entered but not accepted

  • Check there are no extra spaces before or after the PIN.
  • Refresh the page and try again.
  • If it still doesn't work, send that person the private link directly.
